We’re Memomagnetists (!)
When friends and family go on holidays you can, on occasion, expect to get some small souvenir that they have bought for you. Keyring, teatowel, snowglobe, even a commemorative teaspoon is not uncommon. Most people don’t expect a gift; and most people certainly don’t demand them. Adam and I are NOT most people. OK, maybe we don’t demand, but we certainly plead, badger and cajole!
It all started when Adam when to Europe for his 21st birthday. When he asked me if there was anything I wanted from Europe, and I casually asked for a few fridge magnets as they are small and realitivly light to carry, I didn’t expect at the time that this was going to explode into something of an obsession. Adam came home from that holiday with a few magnets which dutifully went on the fridge. I happened to mention at one time that I was a little disappointed that some of them didn’t quite describe where they had come from. Sure they had the name of the place on them, but they were a little too, well… subtle.
